mountain bike sales which makes better hardtail bikes? giant or gary fisher. ?
i want to get a new mountain bike but can’t choose on which one. from gary fisher i’m thinking Tassajare, Hookoo E Koo or marlin all with front suspension and disk brakes.
from giant: A.C (not a hardtail) yukon or rainier. i am aware that all these bikes have slight faults, but what’s you opinion? i don’t know which bike would be the best. (in terms of durability, performance and reputation.)

i picked these for several reasons:
my local bike shop carries all of these bikes
they all have front suspension and disk brakes
they are all on sale at my local bike shop.

I have just started cycling so i need to buy a stock bike for a start. Currently I am looking at Kona Fire Mountain. But, i need some recommendation before going to the bike shop. (although some force suggest bike shop staff helping me but i knew nuts bout bike and worried the staff force give incorrect recommend as they want to push for sale). So the answer here will help me and guide me. Thanks alot to those answer.

I have been riding for many years, used to be a motorcross racer, and currently riding a Kawa KLX 650 Supermoto. A crotch rocket is not comfortable and a cruiser doesn’t quite apply since I live near many mountain roads so a sport-tourier fits the bill…

The V-Strom is a groundbreaking new at dealership bike. Out the door fee of $9000. It is the 1000cc and my only complaint about the bike is that it is a chain drive. I do not plot on taking it off road and would swap the tires for a more road-orientated tire.

The BMW is a ‘97 1100cc for sale at the BMW bike dealership. Includes BMW hard side cases and trunk. Has 31K miles, electric windshield, heated grips, and new tires. BIke looks fantastic, is listed at $5300.

I have ridden the BMW’s and like them, just worried about parts accessability on a 10yr ancient bike. Pro’s and cons to each, I have ridden both and both have pros and cons… Both are comfortable… How bout some input!!!

The Model S costs the shop $200, and returns a profit of $70. The Model M costs the shop $300 and returns a profit of $100. The shop has at most room for 20 bikes in the shop. The shop also ha only $4800 to spend on inventory.

1. Write a function expressing the profit from the sale of M mountain bikes and S street bikes.

2. How many of each kind of bike must the shop stock to earn the maximum profit?

3. What is the Maximum profit possibility if they sell all of their bikes.

If you could give reasons for as well that would be fantastic!

I’m a high school student, and I absolutely LOVE bike riding. I’m looking to buy a nice, excellent-quality bike but I’m not too well-informed on bicycle qualities, brands, and specifications. (weight, material, size, durability, speed ability, age, etc).
I usually ride on paved-trails (waterfronttrail.org), and occasionally gravel or dirt paths. And I really delight in long bike rides (went for a 10 hour ride last Sunday, woohoo!). Which bike would be appropriate for me? Why? And what do you reflect of the prices?? …

mountain bike sales Is this a good bikes/prices?
Im looking to buy a used bike, im a beginner cyclist, and dont want to pay too much, im searching on craigs list for bikes for sale in my local area… i have found the following bikes and prices

Trek 4100 Alpha aluminum mountain bike – $250
Trek 820 mountain bike – $150
26″ Gary Fisher – $200

I am primarily going to be riding on roads, but occasionally through grass and such for small cuts, would any of these bikes suite me? also, how are the prices for these bikes?(too high or cheap? if i do get one of these, what must i bargin for?)

The hideous certainty: For my 30th birthday, I bought a groundbreaking new, gorgeous green Trek 820. At the time, I was too intimidated to *convincingly* articulate to the uber cool, and admittedly attractive, sales clerk (associate/bike guru) that I wanted a “girls bike”. He insisted that no one rode “girls” bikes “offroading” and that I’d adjust to a boys bike..with no “kickstand”. (Apparently I was to leave it carelessly flopped in the grass whilst I climbed a mountain eating kashi)

The long shameful tale is that, at 5′2″, I could by no means throw my leg over and correctly balance and ride the “boy bike”…and said boy bike hasn’t been used past it’s maiden voyage. Oh sure, I bought it a stand so it could languish in my hall, and it’s stirred 2 times to 2 homes. But I haven’t grown any taller. 9 years later I have finally admitted to myself, and now to untold others, that pride was my downfall, I’m an idiot for buying it, and it needs to go. Your thoughts on pricing a groundbreaking new ancient bike- for shorties?
