Has anyone out there ever crash on a mountain bike and spit the helmet in half and lived?

I was mountain biking and thought I could go over a 3 feet log. I’ve done it before but this one had thin cream growing on it and I crashed full speed and landed on right side of my head. I thought I had bashed my face in at first but only injuries I had was a cracked right sinus,2 broken ribs, and multitude of scrapes and lacerations.

But when I took my helmet off it was cracked right down the middle!

Has this happened to anyone else?

It was a blast!! I was so proud I showed my helmet to all I know.

I want to do it again but don’t want to get killed or paralyzed. Am I crazy that it made me feel fantastic and more alive?
