I’m a high school student, and I absolutely LOVE bike riding. I’m looking to buy a nice, excellent-quality bike but I’m not too well-informed on bicycle qualities, brands, and specifications. (weight, material, size, durability, speed ability, age, etc).
I usually ride on paved-trails (waterfronttrail.org), and occasionally gravel or dirt paths. And I really delight in long bike rides (went for a 10 hour ride last Sunday, woohoo!). Which bike would be appropriate for me? Why? And what do you reflect of the prices?? …

for sure the trek. treks are very high quality bikes!
go to a bike shop in your area and get fitted for frame size. The bike has to fit your body size. Then point out a bike that will cover the terrain you want to travel. With your restricted knowledge I wouldn’t buy a used bike as you may waste your money on a bike that needs repair or is the incorrect fit. Stick with a local shop that wants you as a repeat customer. Buy the highest quality bike you can afford as upgrading components in the future can be more expensive. Question plenty of questions and test ride a few bikes before buying, a excellent shop must help you make a better choice than relying on answers from this site
