I am about 5′4-5′5 and i want to get a new road bike, but everywhere i look, i find the road bikes to be made for riders that are 5′7 and above. I dont want a woman’s bike, as my male friends will also be using this bike, rarely but still.
I want a bike for under 500$ and i was thinking of getting either of these bikes:

I want the bike to last long journeys, as i will be biking up mountains and i need the tires to last long. And even if the bike is used but in excellent condition i am keen to buy.
If you guys even have a bike for sale, i will look into it as well. I want to get it very soon, in less than 2 weeks, or even less than a week.

What you need to do is physically go to a bike shop and get fitted for a bike. Do not go to Wal Mart or K-Mart or any place like that since what they sell is garbage and they don’t know how to fit a bike. Just tell them you don’t want a “woman specific” bike, but I don’t know why you want to let other people use the bike. The bike will fitted to you and will not fit someone taller or shorter. I by no means allow anyone to ride any of my bikes, since I don’t want them messing around adjusting things to fit them.
well u could look 4 a petite sized frame, for the bike i would look 4 a cannondale,u can eamil me at csi13@sbcglobal.net with ur state and county or a major city u live nearby that u would not mind driving 2,2 get a bike, so i can look on craigslist to find u a nice used one

Friends don’t let friends buy a bike online or at a huge box store. You need to know quite a bit, your exact personal best fit to buy online. the Amazon bike is not a excellent deal.
Get thee to your local bike shop. Tell the nice folks there the type of riding you want to do and your budget. They will help you find a fantastic bike in your budget.
