I have been each where trying to find hybrid bicycle that would fit me. I am 5′ tall and all the hybrid bikes are to tall. Don’t they make them any smaller?

I picked one up at a garage sale now. It has European style inner tubes, 27 x 1 1/4″ rims. It is a 12-speed. The handlebars are like a mountain bike but a small flared – not racer handlebars. It looks like it’s about 20 years ancient, but it’s in fantastic shape. I know Bianchi made a model called a Del Mondo, but I don’t reflect this is a Bianchi, as it doesn’t say Bianchi anywhere on the bike that I can see.

I have a 20inch folding bike with the diameter of the tyres just under 2 cm. The back tyre was worn out nearly running on just the inner tube and when I went over a rock now it just blew. As I like going offroad, can I get a 20inch mountain bike tyre for replacement?(ie, the type seen on mountain bikes for kids?) Thanks.

I was thinking of buying a new road bike, but instead chose to swing by a yard sale and buy and ancient bike for $20 since I thought it would be cool to learn how to take everything apart and fix it up.
First off I fixed the punctures in both tires, simple enough. But most of the bike is freaking enclosed in dirt and grime. Is there any simple way to clean up the parts? I bought this small ‘clean-up’ kit from walmart that had a jagged scythe looking tool for clearing the gunk from between the cranks (it worked really well), and it also came with a coarse brush that I have been using with oil to try to get the rest cleaned up, and it’s just not effective well. Can I just soak the individual parts in something?
How do I get the chain off? It looks like it could only be removed if I cut it.
If I buy new gear cables, do they have to be anything specific? Or will cheap generic ones work?
One more question. It has dirt tires on it now, but it doesn’t have any suspension. I thought mountain bikes has suspensions. Did someone just place trail tires on a road bike?

It is just to get him to and from work in Chicago so it is all mostly pavement.
And he was on a neighbors mountain bike but he did not like how the seat and handle bars were level with each other , he said it was terrible on his back.
