kids mountain bikes Need some advice about family cycling?
I have a 18-month-ancient child and want to take her on rides with me around the locality. Would she (and I) be safer (and more pleased) with a child seat or a trailer?

Also, what kind of bike is ideal for biking with kids (hybrid, mountain, comfort)? If you want to give a specific brand and/or model, that would help also.

kids mountain bikes Need advice for a first mountain bike!?
When I was a kid I used to ruin all my bikes doing jumps and such things. Now I’m 18 and I wanna start doing freeride mountain bike. I don’t have a super budget so I plot to spend around 1300 to 1700$ for the bike. I want to know some mtb freeride brands and some advice!
Still wondering if I must buy an used bike?
Maybe a last year bike?

Also, I want to know how long these bikes last? If someone is doing jumps and such 1 weekend on 2!

I plot to get a really nice $200 mountain bike in the next couple of days, but I have really no thought what kind of helmet I’d need for Mountain biking. A few of my friends say that a regular bicycle helmet will work, but I am worried that if I in some way fall of the bike, and hit my head on a tree, that a regular bike helmet would break.

I was thinking of getting one of those full face helmets, similar to those helmets that Dirt Bike riders wear. Is that okay, or is it completely unnecessary?

kids mountain bikes BMX riders out there, i need help!!!?
I’m looking for a low cost bmx and I went to walmart, im 6′1″ tall and 230lbs, I was looking at the mobile bikes there and the ones I found seemed too “small”. I grew up in the 80s and had a bmx, but the bars on these bmx bikes in wally world seem alot smaller, and the seat don’t come up as far as I would like. Are these bikes like the “MONGOOSE” and the “NEXT” bikes for adults, or are they just kids bikes. I despise mountain bikes I reflect their too huge and fantastic and I don’t need all the gears.

I’m interested in converting my mountain bike to a fixed gear. I read that I’ll need either a track bike fork end or horizontal dropouts, whereas my bike currently has vertical dropouts. Would I need to weld a new fork end on? Would this be possible?
