I am looking to get my lady a pair of bike shorts for an upcoming on the road trip. Any suggestions for a pair that fits well and has a excellent shammy that will hold up for multiple days lacking being washed. I myself wear Giordana bibs, but they are 100 dollars a pair, and I am hoping not to spend that much for a novice criterion….but I want them to be comfortable.

I have such a hard time finding a excellent pair of bike shorts, let alone some that are inexpensive too! I reflect that women’s shorts just aren’t a priority for manufacturers.
My favorites (I’ve bought at least 4 pairs) are made by Sugoi. The shammy is awesome. The least expensive ones I bought of those were $80,
All my other pairs wait untouched- which are Pearl Izumi’s and Fox’s. They are really thin in the shammy.
My GF likes Performance Century Gel Shorts, about $40.

shorter the better
Well, the shorts are labeled Trek, and who knows who makes them for Trek. The ladies in our riding group like the fit.
I have a pair of men’s and guess what. I tore a seam, completely my flaw from being in a huge rush dressing. I was having a conversation with the shop owner as to why I was looking for another pair. He said, bring them back — they are guaranteed for a year. I did — he gave me another pair free. (that was this past season)
So the gals like the feel, they are guaranteed — If I were you I would take a look at them.
I can’t answer specifically for womens models but Pearlizumi gets my vote in general.
get regular shorts lacking any padding. that way you will get her to feel the bike and get use to the saddle
