the one on the Howard Stern show.
A nice bright red trycicle. With a small horn.
for it’s a roadmaster
For recreation, I would suggest a hybrid bicycle. Road bikes are fantastic too, but they tend to be more expensive, and the posture is different.
Trek and Giant make excellent ones, as do other companies. I’m not sure it makes a difference to get a woman’s bicycle. Some say they’re heavier than men’s bikes.
The best thing you can do is go to a bike shop, check them out, take them for test-rides, and see which one is the most comfortable for you.
Have fun!
Giant ….have a very wide ladies range…from sit up and beg to pro racer….for all age groups…and in pink. Check out there web page.
Yes, if you are looking into road bikes and if you are small.
A female specific bike has a slightly shorter top tube and taller head tube to accommodate proportionally shorter torsos. The crankarms, stems and levers are all smaller, too, for greater ergonomics and comfort.
I just read in a biking magazine that the Schwinn Fastback Sport at $600 is the best buy for the fee and feels more like a $1,000 bike.
Check out some of the companies websites. Fuji, Specialized, Schwinn, Cannondale, Trek, Bianchi.
If you’re looking into a mountain bike……..sorry. Don’t know anything there.
you can ride a hybrid or cruiser bike or you can look like a dude rideing a tough food processor bike. it is your choise but for mtn bikes you must look for 18 or 21 speed bikes with brands like specialized, norco, kona, trec etc.
I would recommend discussion to your friends who cycle as well as stop in at a few bicycle supplies. Odds are you plot on riding with others so it is a excellent ice-contravention to start discussion about bike types and applications. It’s fantastic to know a few excellent bicycle shops in your area. Then question yourself, what kind of terrain I plot on riding on (paved streets, dirt roads, trails, etc.) How often do I plot on riding my bike and how much can my budget afford. A excellent bike shop can help you with those. Then as far as women specific bikes, again talk to the bike shop, maybe take one for a test ride and see how the bike fits you. The bike fit is very vital, if it doesn’t feel excellent to you, are you really going to ride the bike. I personaly like the Trek bike line. I’ve riding one for the past few years (over 35,000 miles and together with) and I like it. Excellent luck and fortunate cycling. jim
There are several manufactures that make bikes for us. Specialized, Terry and Giant are a few of the manufactures that make female specific bikes. Yes it does make a difference, since we commonly have shorter torsos, which mean we need a shorter top tube. I haven’t tried any of the small reach break leavers but want to. Also, depending your hour height different size wheels.
What do you consider entry level? How much are you looking at spending?
Get your bike for a bike shop! They can fit you and commonly offer free tuneups.
